Postdoctoral position in masonry modelling to study historical earthquakes

  • As an extension of my PhD thesis, the ANR ACROSS aims to define a strategy to characterize historical ground motion based on ArChaeology, inventory of ReConstruction, Seismology, and Structural engineering.

Finalist to MT180 (ma thèse en 180 secondes)

  • This competition aims to promote public understanding my research project to a non-specialist, non-scientific and highly diverse audience giving a concise and convincing presentation using simple terms, images and metaphors in just three minutes.

Intern in earthquake engineering and engineering seismology with J. Clement and Dr. M. Lancieri (IRSN)

  • Computational analysis of dynamic response of nuclear facilities under seismic load
  • Relationship between Engineering Demand Parameters and Intensity Measures

Associate researcher in the RECAP ANR program under the supervision of Dr. H. Dessales (ENS/AOROC)

  • Stratigraphic analysis of building ruins in Pompei to identify damage and post-earthquake repairs associated to the 63 A.D. and 70 A.D. seismic events;
  • Quantifying damage mechanisms from post-earthquake repairs;
  • Studying the evolution of building techniques used by roman workers after earthquakes

Intership in archaeoseismology with Pr. K.-G. Hinzen (Earthquake Geology and Archaeoseismological Group, University of Cologne)

  • Modelling ancient masonry from various building techniques (Inca walls, Roman walls, Hellenistic wall, ...) using a block-based approach
  • Computational analysis of the seismic response of ancient masonry

Intership with Dr. J. Cauzid (GeoRessources laboratory, University of Lorraine)
